One of Penn State Brandywine’s newest clubs, Musicians Collaborative, has wasted no time sparking creativity and collaboration on campus. Although it is only three semesters old, the club has quickly integrated itself into campus programming and social life.
On Nov. 17, contemporary pianist and composer Glenn Williams will perform at Penn State Brandywine. The performance will take place at 10:30 a.m. in Room 101 of the Main Building. Williams, a versatile musician with a master’s degree in piano performance, has played in venues such as Walt Disney World and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
Rebecca Strzelec, professor of visual arts at Penn State Altoona and the 2016-17 Penn State laureate, will visit Penn State Brandywine at noon on Oct. 18 to present “Art + Engineering = Creative Problem Solving.” Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to join Strzelec in Room 113 of the Main Building for her presentation.

Hunger is not a distant social issue — it's one that impacts thousands of local individuals, including college students. At Penn State Brandywine, students, faculty and staff have taken action to combat student hunger by creating a new campus service: a food pantry called the Brandywine CUB-Board.

For Peris Wambui Wamoni, a Kenyan international student, arriving at Penn State Brandywine was the realization of a lifelong desire. “I always knew I wanted to study abroad,” she said. “I don’t think I have ever pursued something as passionately in my life.”
On Oct. 6 the Penn State community will come together to kick off an ongoing University-wide initiative that brings students, faculty and staff together to show their commitment to cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment. “All In at Penn State: A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion” will begin with a public event at 7:15 p.m. in front of Old Main on the University Park campus that will be livestreamed to the campuses.
