Campus hosts Spring Soirée to benefit campus students

Penn State Brandywine will host its annual Spring Soirée on March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford.

The Spring Soirée brings campus friends, alumni and the community together for an exciting night of celebration and entertainment. This semi-formal event is from 7 to 11 p.m. and is open to the public. It will feature dinner, live music, dancing and silent auctions. All proceeds benefit Penn State Brandywine students.

Lights, Camera, One Button! One Button Studio Debuts at Penn State Brandywine

Whether you just have a class project or lecture to record or enjoy the limelight, the One Button Studio now available in the Vairo Library is a great resource for Penn State Brandywine's students, faculty and staff.

The One Button Studio is a simplified video recording studio. The Penn State Brandywine community will now be able to create high-quality video projects without having any previous video production experience.

Brandywine hosts trip to London: Greece and Paris trips set for 2015

Recently, 20 Penn State students had the opportunity to travel over 3,000 miles from Pennsylvania for a weeklong study-abroad opportunity hosted by Penn State Brandywine. Global Programs, offered to students at all Penn State campus locations through Penn State Brandywine, allowed the students to explore the city of London, England for an eight-day span, all while earning credits toward graduation.

Brandywine graduate conducts cross-cultural research study in Italy

Megan Griffith took advantage of every opportunity to do research during her career as a psychology major at Penn State Brandywine. In her final year, her go-getting approach paid off, granting her an amazing journey. She, alongside Assistant Professor of Psychology Dana Martin, completed a cross-cultural research study that delves into the representation of women in the media in the United States and Italy.

December class of 2014 celebrates, encouraged to give back

Penn State Brandywine's fall 2014 graduates were recognized for their achievements at the Dec. 19 commencement in the Commons Building Gymnasium, with proud parents, relatives and friends looking on.

Chancellor Kristin R. Woolever welcomed the class of 2014 and encouraged the graduates to find something they are passionate about and to work hard for it. She also reminded them that they are the gift Penn State Brandywine has to give to the world.

Brandywine senior interns with Department of Energy lab

Information sciences and technology (IST) major Cory Kitay never imagined he'd be working nearly 2,000 miles away from Penn State Brandywine during his final year of college. The senior recently returned to campus after a 10-week internship program with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Established in 1943, LANL began as "site Y" of the Manhattan Project with the sole purpose of building and designing the world's first atomic bomb.
