Student workers are an integral part of campus life at Penn State Brandywine. While gaining valuable skills and experience, they also provide support in critical areas of campus operations, including Student Affairs, tech support, food services and Lion Ambassadors.
Fred Saffold III, founder of the True Black History Museum, brought more than 150 artifacts, including original documents from historic figures such as Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington, to Penn State Brandywine on Feb. 5. He presented the True Black History Museum’s “A Tribute to the African-American Journey” exhibit to celebrate Black History Month.
The problematic and contradictory relationship between the art of Italian painter, sculptor and muralist Corrado Cagli and the fascist government that supported him will be explored in a presentation by Penn State Laureate John Champagne at Penn State Brandywine.
Writing messages and thank-you notes to military veterans, which will be distributed to Operation Gratitude, Chantel Hatton and Ally Giannakarios joined more than a hundred Penn State Brandywine students, faculty and staff as well as community members during the campus’ Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration on Jan. 21 in the Student Union.
While earning her bachelor's degree in information sciences and technology from the Brandywine campus, Penn State graduate Devin Mader quickly discovered her passion for the industry and as a student wasted no time actively pursuing career opportunities in the field.
At the Brandywine campus, students can complete all four years of 12 Penn State degrees, several minors, and the first two years of more than 275 undergraduate programs. However, some fields of study are certainly more well-represented than others.
When Stacy Foy graduated from Penn State on Dec. 14, she gained much more than a diploma. For her, commencement day was the culmination of a 15-year journey.
