Brandywine events to honor legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

Penn State Brandywine’s Center for Ethics and Civic Engagement will host a series of virtual events to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The programs are presented in partnership with the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service, whose 2021 theme is “Justice and the COVID-19 Health Crisis,” and co-sponsored by Penn State Abington’s Student Engagement and Leadership office.

Penn State Brandywine fall graduates receive degrees virtually

As Penn State conferred degrees upon its fall graduates during a virtual commencement ceremony on Dec. 19, nearly 60 Penn State Brandywine seniors watched the livestreamed event and celebrated their achievement with immediate family at their homes. The virtual ceremony was necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.

PSUAC cancels fall and winter 2020-21 sports competition, championships

The PSUAC Executive Committee voted unanimously to cancel all intercollegiate athletics competition for fall and winter team sports during the 2020-21 academic year. The sports affected by this decision include men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball, at Penn State Beaver, Brandywine, DuBois, Fayette, Hazleton, Greater Allegheny, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Scranton, Schuylkill, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre and York.

Penn State to begin spring semester remotely, delay in-person classes

Penn State has decided to delay the start of in-person classes and transition to a fully remote learning environment for the beginning of the spring 2021 semester at all campus locations. This decision was made following extensive analysis and scenario planning given worsening virus conditions nationally and across the state indicating predictions of rising hospitalization rates in the coming weeks.

Penn State Brandywine to celebrate fall graduates

Penn State Brandywine’s fall graduates will celebrate their milestone achievement at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 with a University-wide virtual commencement ceremony, preceded by video conferencing with campus faculty and staff at 1:15 p.m.
