Glenn E. Williams and the Jazz Trio to perform live April 10

Local band Glenn E. Williams and the Jazz Trio will visit Penn State Brandywine to perform and discuss their latest original album, "Harp's Revenge." Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the event, which will be held on Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m. in the Main Building Auditorium, room 101.

Local professor, students undertake exploratory research

 Assistant Professor of Biology Megan Povelones is showing her students the practical side of science, working in the lab on real-life science research. The Penn State Brandywine professor and her student team are carrying out a molecular biology study that could help people better understand overall human health and disease.

Molecular biology deals with the understanding of interactions between various parts of the cell, exploring the cell's characteristics and chemical processes.

Brandywine students raise record amount to battle pediatric cancer

One year of planning, hard work and fundraising culminated on Sunday evening after 46 hours of non-stop dancing. Penn State's 42nd annual dance marathon to benefit the fight against pediatric cancer wrapped up with yet another record-breaking reveal.

Penn State students from across the Commonwealth raised a total of  $13,343,517.33.

Brandywine duo secures internships in Penn's department of neurosurgery

 Senior business majors Shayna Cedeno and Shoeb Hasan are leaving their desks behind at Penn State Brandywine and earning credits toward their bachelor's degrees a little differently this semester. The go-getting duo recently started a comprehensive internship program at the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) working in the department of neurosurgery. 

Brandywine professors incorporate cutting-edge technology into curriculum

Penn State Brandywine's spring semester is in full swing and students are hard at work in their courses, but their opportunities to learn aren't limited to textbooks and lectures. Undergraduates are working with new technology across all academic disciplines, enhancing their college experience and making it more hands-on and engaging.

Election for University College Student Senators now open

The ballot for election of the two University College Student Senators to the University Faculty Senate in 2014-2015 has been finalized. The election is now open. Vote for the students that you want to represent you. Voting will close on Monday, March  3, 2014 at 11:59 p.m.  Please cast your vote online and urge your classmates to vote.

Certified child life specialist to speak March 4 as part of Common Read

 Penn State Brandywine will host a Common Read event with a presentation from Certified Child Life Specialist Tara Monroe on Tuesday, March 4, at 11:30 a.m. in the Tomezsko Building, room 103. Students, faculty and staff are invited to this powerful discussion, which is closely linked with this year's Common Read selection, The Fault in Our Stars.

Brandywine welcomes new chancellor

Penn State Brandywine welcomes Kristin Woolever as the fourth executive officer for the campus since its founding in 1967. She joined the campus as chancellor on February 1.

"I'm very excited to begin my service at Penn State Brandywine and build on the many successes that the campus has achieved," Woolever said. "As we look toward our 50th anniversary, we see tremendous potential to increase the impact we have on our students and our community through new programs, new facilities and new partnerships."
