Graduation is not automatic, so students must notify the University of their intent to graduate by applying for graduation in LionPATH. To help make the process simple, we’ve included a helpful resource below to guide you every step of the way.

PRO TIPS TO PREPARE FOR GRADUATION
It’s never too early to start preparing for graduation. Taking a few proactive steps now can help you avoid last-minute surprises and ensure you’ve completed all of your degree requirements. Review the tips below to stay on track for the finish line:
- Meet with your academic adviser during the fall semester to review your degree audit and confirm your path to graduation.
- Apply for graduation in LionPATH. Deadlines are posted in advance and annually at the start of each academic year. Be sure to submit your application on time.
- Resolve any deferred grades by working with your instructors to ensure all coursework is finalized and submitted.
- Check for and resolve student account holds. You can view any account holds in your Communication Center in LionPATH.
- Monitor your Bursar account. Outstanding balances may delay the release of your diploma or official transcript.
