General Ceremony Information
- The Penn State Brandywine commencement ceremony will be held in the main gymnasium of the Commons/Athletic Center located at 25 Yearsley Mills Road, Media, PA 19063.
- The ceremony will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately 2½ hours. Out of consideration for all graduates and families, graduates are required to stay until the end of the ceremony.
- Guest tickets are required. Seating is limited—and each graduate is limited to four (4) tickets per graduate. Please ensure you make the appropriate arrangements.
- The commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
- There are no rehearsals for the commencement ceremony. Graduates will receive complete instructions at their time of arrival on the day of commencement.
- Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests and graduates should enter campus through the main entrance on Route 352 at the traffic light.
- Accessible Parking is free, limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible parking spots are located behind the Commons/Athletic Center and at other designated areas.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the Commons/Athletic Center.
Graduate Arrival and Check-In
- Graduates should arrive on campus by 8:45 a.m. and report to Parsons Hall in the Student Union Building. During this time, graduates will check in and receive graduate line up instructions and materials.
- Graduates should arrive at campus dressed in their cap and gown.
- Graduates are welcome to take advantage of the morning commencement reception starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Union Building.
- To support a safe and secure environment, all bags are subject to inspection at entry.
- If necessary, graduates should leave valuables with a designated guests during the ceremony. There will not be a secure location for your belongings. Penn State Brandywine is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Guest Arrival and Check-in
- Guests of graduates are limited to four (4) guests per graduate. Graduates will be provided with tickets in advance of the commencement ceremony.
- The commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel, so additional family and friends will be able to view remotely.
- Guests should report to Commons/Athletic Center Gymnasium and begin checking in at 9:15 a.m. in time to start the commencement ceremony promptly at 10:00 a.m.
- To support a safe and secure environment, all bags are subject to inspection at entry. Guests are encouraged to limit personal belongings to essential items to facilitate efficient screening. The following items are not permitted at the ceremony: balloons, noisemakers (including air horns), signs or banners that may obstruct views, large bags or backpacks, outside food and beverages, alcohol, weapons of any kind, and any items deemed disruptive to the ceremony.
- Seating is limited and we ask that guests remain flexible as we accommodate all graduates and ensure a positive commencement experience for our graduates.
