Fourth-Year Student Cohort Meeting

Why Attend the Fourth-Year Cohort Meeting?

The Fourth-Year Student Cohort Meeting is designed to help graduating students prepare for the final steps of their Penn State journey. During this session, campus leaders and staff share important information about the graduation process, commencement logistics, key deadlines, and resources available to support students as they transition beyond Penn State. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions, connect with campus staff, and make sure you’re fully prepared for the big day.

What You’ll Learn

During the meeting, graduating students receive helpful guidance on the final steps toward graduation and commencement, including:

  • Understanding the difference between graduation and commencement and how each process works.
  • Important deadlines, including submitting your Intent to Graduate and other key milestones leading up to Commencement.
  • Commencement ceremony details, including tickets, ceremony logistics, livestream viewing options, and what to expect on the big day.
  • Grad Fair information, where you can purchase regalia, pick up ceremony tickets, complete the Grad Exit Survey, and celebrate with fellow graduates.
  • Options for participating in commencement, including early walking or participating at an alternate Penn State campus if needed.
  • Career and post-graduation resources, including career events, networking opportunities, and alumni engagement.
  • Scholarships, alumni connections, and ways to stay involved with Penn State after graduation.
