Team members from Penn State Admissions – Philadelphia spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day assisting with cleaning and restoration efforts at the newly re-opened Vaux Big Picture High School in northwest Philadelphia.
With classes back in session for the spring semester, Penn State Brandywine’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are now in the thick of Penn State University Athletic Conference play as both squads faced a pair of conference road games last week.
Mussie Tesfay’s path to Penn State included several unexpected twists. An electrical engineering major attending Penn State Brandywine, Tesfay was born in Ethiopia where his family faced a series of political difficulties following the Eritrean-Ethiopian war.
Stand for State will host an event, “All That WE ARE,” at Penn State campuses between Jan. 15 and 30. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.
