At Brandywine, the Student Government Association (SGA) holds the role of the official governing body for our student community.

 

Our Mission

"At Penn State Brandywine, the Student Government Association is dedicated to representing, empowering, and advocating for our diverse student community. We strive to enhance campus life, promote equity and inclusion, and encourage civic engagement while maintaining transparency and accountability in all our actions."

Tejas Chigurupati, a third-year student from Chester Springs, PA, is majoring in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations, pursuing dual minors in Business and Security & Risk Analysis, and certificates in IST and from the National Security Agency. As President of the Student Government Association, Tejas brings valuable leadership experience and a strong commitment to fostering collaboration between students, faculty, and staff. In addition to his role in SGA, he serves as a Digital Marketing Intern for the Brandywine LaunchBox, President of the Entrepreneurship Club, Family Relations Chair for Brandywine Benefitting THONTM, Treasurer of the Technology Club, and a Lion Ambassador. He has previously worked as a cashier in the Blue Apple Café and as a Team Manager for the Men’s Basketball Team. His passion for technology, innovation, and student engagement drives his mission to create lasting, positive change both on campus and in the community.

Vice President: Madison Ferguson

Madison Ferguson is a committed fourth-year Marketing and Business Data Analytics student from Ridley, PA. As an active member of the Brandywine community, she is a Lion Ambassador, tennis player, Brandywine Benefitting THON™ member, and Resident Assistant. As a transfer student, Maddie recognizes the importance and influence campus involvement has on a student’s collegiate experience, and, through her involvement around campus, she strives to make everyone feel like Penn State Brandywine is a place they can call home. As the Vice President, Maddie is determined to continue making the Brandywine student experience positive, memorable, and accessible to all!

Timothy McClure, a driven second-year student from East Bradford, PA, is pursuing a Political Science Bachelor of Arts degree at Penn State Brandywine. As the Secretary of the Student Government Association, Tim is committed to fulfilling the SGA’s goals of creating an inclusive, safe environment for students and maintaining transparency about the SGA’s activities. As a part of his role, Tim is also the chair of the newly formed Parking Ticket Appeals Committee (PTAC). Besides his involvement in the SGA, Tim serves as the President of the Billiards Club, the Vice President of the Math Club, the Treasurer of the MarComm Club, an SIF Committee member, and a student worker. These positions give Tim additional opportunities to do his part in enhancing the student experience at Brandywine.

Sara Hallahan is a dedicated third-year Human Development and Family Studies student from Downingtown, PA, with minors in Psychology and Civic & Community Engagement. As an active member of the Brandywine community, she serves as Treasurer of the Student Government Association, President of Brandywine Benefitting THON, a Lion Ambassador, and is a member of the Schreyer Honors College. Sara is passionate about helping students feel supported and connected on campus, and through her involvement, she strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
