If you feel that you were ticketed in error or that extenuating circumstances existed, you may file an appeal.
The Appeals Committee will consider your ticket history when making its decision. ALL APPEALS DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Appeals without merit will be rejected.
To file an appeal:
Submit the online Parking Violation Appeal form within 14 calendar days of the date of the violation.
The following are NOT acceptable grounds for appeals.
- Lack of space
- Only parking illegally for a few minutes
- Handicap violation (no state issued placard)
- Financial hardship
- Unregistered vehicle
- Expired permit
- Unread or misunderstood signs
- Inconvenient assigned area
- Bad weather or darkness
- Ignorance of regulations
- Running late
- Student parked in visitor's space
- Failure to display parking permit in appropriate location (permit on seat, console, etc.)
Parking violation fines are deposited in the Student Government Association (SGA) treasury and used to further the student experience at Penn State Brandywine.
