Magdalen Matthews, Jacob Lauer, and Samantha Glancey, left to right,  sort through the many book donations they received during the recent book drive.  Half the books collected are going to the Bahamas for the alternative spring break and the rest are staying in York.  As part of their work in the Bahamas, Penn State students will be reading to elementary school children.

Penn State York students Jacob Lauer, Samantha Glancey, Katie Kline, and Magdalen Matthews are part of a group traveling to the Bahamas on an alternative spring break where they hope to immerse themselves in the culture of that country and also work with elementary school children.

Penn State Brandywine to host workshops for active mid-life, senior adults

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Life Planning Network will present "EngAGE, Enlighten, Empower," a workshop series for active mid-life and senior adults, this spring at Penn State Brandywine. The workshops will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on April 13, 20 and 27 in Room 113 of the Main Building at Penn State Brandywine. The cost for all three workshops is $75.
