The Brandywine LaunchBox partnered with the Great Valley LaunchBox and Chester County Economic Development Council’s Ideas x Innovation Network to deliver the LionCage Pitch Competition on Friday, Nov. 8, which supported entrepreneurs and innovators across southeastern Pennsylvania. Thirty teams — including two Penn State Brandywine students — pitched in five categories: New Startups, Penn State Students and Alumni, Social Impact Initiatives, Experienced Startups, and Young Entrepreneurs. Each category had one winner, who received $5,000, and one honorable mention, who received a plaque. In addition, one team received $10,000 for being “Best of Show.”

Penn State will celebrate its 10th GivingTuesday on Dec. 3, and Penn State Brandywine invites alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to participate by showing support for the Brandywine LaunchBox, the Penn State Brandywine Emergency Scholarship Fund and the Student Academic Success Center.
