K. David Boyer, a 1973 graduate, began his Penn State career at the Delaware County campus, which was renamed Brandywine in 2007. He arrived on campus during one of Brandywine’s most formative seasons—when it moved from the original Chester location to its current home in Media.
During Boyer’s second year at the Chester campus, Brandywine relocated to Media. He was hired to help move the University’s furniture and other belongings into its new home.
The Penn State Brandywine “Sustainovation Team” hosted a “Coffee, Tea and Can Openers” collection drive for the Media Food Bank. Twenty-five manual can openers, 740 bags of tea, 1,280 cups of coffee, and additional food items were donated.
Penn State Brandywine has been selected as one of five Commonwealth campuses to receive a $5,000 grant through Pepsico. As grant recipients, the Brandywine campus will partner with the University’s Sustainable Communities Collaborative (SCC) to address sustainability issues throughout the state.
Sanjay Bridges recently joined Penn State Brandywine’s Office of Police and Public Safety as a campus police officer. Bridges first became interested in law enforcement during elementary school.
