Senior engineering students from Penn State Brandywine and Penn State Abington presented their senior capstone projects at the campuses’ annual Design Expo on Tuesday, April 24. The event was held at Penn State Great Valley.
Also recognized at the event were Alan Norrigan and Chevelle Thomas, the newly elected president and vice president of Brandywine’s Student Government Association for 2018-19, as well as Neeka Pharaud and Lindsay Koch, who served as president and vice president for 2017-18. Throughout the week of April 16-20, Penn State Brandywine hosted a CanstructionU competition to help raise awareness and support for hunger in the local community — an effort that will result in more than 2,000 cans of food being given to the Media Food Bank.
Starting in spring 2019, first-year students at Penn State Brandywine will have the opportunity to kick off their college careers with a campus PAL, or Peer Assistant and Leader, beside them.
Penn State Brandywine students who have impacted the campus through their leadership and service were honored at Brandywine's student leadership recognition night on April 12.
