Earn a business certificate this summer at Penn State Brandywine

Are you a working professional looking to advance your career? You can expand your knowledge of critical business areas this summer by earning a certificate at Penn State Brandywine.

Penn State Brandywine is offering three business certificate programs -- business administration, business concepts and communication skills for business professionals. Each certificate program teaches fundamental business knowledge, tools and strategies.

Certificates reflect emerging academic areas, necessary professional development requirements or requirements that do not constitute a degree program. Certificates may be supplements or enhancements to existing degree programs or may stand-alone. For-credit certificates often provide “step-up” opportunities to degree programs allowing for milestones of progress.

“In the competitive work environment, business certificates have become increasingly valuable for many employees,” Patricia Hillen, Penn State Brandywine’s assistant director of academic affairs, said. “We are excited to offer this convenient opportunity for professionals to quickly gain business expertise in specific areas while potentially positioning themselves for upward mobility within the workplace.”

With day and evening courses available online and face-to-face, a certificate can be achieved over the summer.

The business certificates offered at Penn State Brandywine require 10 or 12 credits each. Credit courses offered for a certificate require a grade of “C” or higher.
