MEDIA, Pa. — Penn State Brandywine will hold its fall commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, in the Commons/Athletic Center on campus. More than 70 degrees will be conferred.
Friends and family are invited to attend the ceremony to support the new graduates. A reception in honor of the graduates will be held in the Student Union immediately following the ceremony.
Elizabeth Killough, director of the Untours Foundation, will deliver the commencement address. The Untours Foundation, located in Media, provides loans and support to green, leading-edge businesses that address social and economic issues, including creating jobs for vulnerable populations. The foundation owns Untours, a certified B Corporation that provides planning and transportation support for independent travelers.
Killough is a longtime activist focused on environmental issues and animal rights. She played a key role in building a Fair Trade movement nationally and in helping to make Media the "First Fair Trade Town in the U.S."
She holds a master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
