Middletown's 20th annual Community Day Saturday, May 3

Middletown Township will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its annual Community Day on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Penn State Brandywine. This enjoyable outdoor spring festival brings together Middletown residents, local government members and businesses to celebrate the Middletown Township community.

Organized by Middletown Township Parks and Recreation and the Community Day Committee, this get-together provides a fun-filled atmosphere for all ages.

The rain or shine event will feature an array of entertainment, including a DJ and live musical performances, exciting games, prizes, pony rides, moon bounces, face painting, balloon sculptures, an appearance by "The Berenstain Bears" and much more. Guests can enter to win Phillies tickets. Vendors and restaurants from the local community will also be serving delicious food for attendees.

Stop by the Angles in the Outfield tent and learn more about what our students are doing to raise money to help provide safe shelter in Oklahoma schools hit by devastating tornadoes. Their mission is in memory of Sydney Angle, a child who was killed in a tornado in 2013. Students will be selling Sydney Ribbons, donation baskets and gift cards, gourmet lollipops, and other items. There will also be activities for kids and adults alike. All proceeds benefit Shelter Oklahoma Schools, an organization created to provide storm shelters in and around Oklahoma schools.

Middletown Township credits all of its sponsors with making this annual celebration a success, especially Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach Realtors and BET Investments.
