Dr. Kalpani Dissanayake is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Economics. Before joining Penn State-Brandywine, Dr. Dissanayake served as an Instructor at the Industrial, Manufacturing, & Systems Engineering Department of Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock, TX. She holds a doctoral degree in Systems and Engineering Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration degree, all successfully completed. Additionally, Dr. Dissanayake holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). She is titled as an Engineer in Training (TX) and is also pursuing a master’s degree in business Analytics at Penn State World Campus.

With over fourteen years of university teaching experience and prior industry exposure, she currently teaches in the Penn State Project and Supply Chain Management shared degree program as well as the Business degree program. Her research interests primarily focus on organizational performance, supply chain management, and sustainable business management-related areas, and she welcomes new research students.
