Penn State University Libraries’ Teaching and Learning with Technology is working with faculty as part of the 2024 Faculty Engagement Awards focusing on the theme of “Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Teaching.”
Penn State University Libraries’ Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has named 13 recipients of the 2024 Faculty Engagement Award with this year’s theme of “Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Teaching.” Recipients will collaborate with TLT staff to identify potential uses, constraints and best practices for using generative AI for teaching purposes. Faculty will utilize available generative AI tools including Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Firefly to assist in content creation, course planning and content delivery.
The Penn State Brandywine Alumni Society will be a sponsor for “Dining Under the Stars” – a weekly outdoor dining event held Wednesday evenings on State Street in Media, Pa. – throughout September. As part of the Media community, the Brandywine Alumni Society is an event sponsor for the third year in a row.
Applications are now being accepted for the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania (TCCP) Women in Mentoring program. Students, faculty and staff across all Penn State campuses have free access to virtual technology programming thanks to a partnership with TCCP spearheaded by Penn State Harrisburg, a longtime member of the council.
Timothy Lawlor, professor of physics at Penn State Brandywine, has been honored with Penn State’s Open and Affordable Education Resources Champions Award.
