Eighteen students, 10 from Penn State Brandywine and eight incarcerated at a nearby county jail, overcame their apprehensions, challenged their ideas about the criminal justice system, and studied public speaking during a semester-long course offered through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.
Penn State Brandywine held its annual Donors Scholars Celebration on Nov. 23 to honor student scholarship recipients and recognize the alumni and friends of Brandywine who have established scholarships for the campus.
Samantha Pezzimenti, assistant teaching professor of mathematics at Penn State Brandywine, recently received the Early Career Teaching Award by the Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
