The Penn State Brandywine Athletics Hall of Fame added four new members during an induction ceremony on Jan. 24. Members of the class of 2025 include former women’s soccer and softball student-athlete Arianna Segich, ice hockey student-athlete and ice hockey assistant coach Jeff Wild, women’s basketball student-athlete Joan Zimmerman-Berner and current women’s basketball coach Larry Johnson.
Amy Miller-Spavlik joined Penn State Brandywine as a financial aid specialist in January. Coming from the School District of Philadelphia as a guidance counselor, Miller-Spavlik is looking forward to working with students and helping them through the financial aid application process.
Jasmin Castano Arellano, a fourth-year human development and family studies major, reflects on her Penn State Brandywine experience so far and discusses how her coursework and professional experiences have helped her succeed.
Amanda Atkinson joined Penn State Brandywine as an academic adviser in January. Coming from Swarthmore College, where she served as the director of residential communities, Atkinson said she is looking forward to getting to know Brandywine students and helping them with their academic planning.
