After viewing the 9/11 Memorial, students toured the National September 11 Museum. The 110,000 square foot exhibit is located underneath the World Trade Center site.
After lunch, the group visited the National September 11 Memorial. A tribute to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 and the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993, the Memorial’s twin reflecting pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood and are each an acre in size.
