Brandywine Associate Professor of Communication Arts and Sciences Angela Putman gave opening remarks and reflected on her time teaching the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program this semester.
Eighteen students, 10 from Penn State Brandywine and eight incarcerated at a nearby county jail, overcame their apprehensions, challenged their ideas about the criminal justice system, and studied public speaking during a semester-long course offered through the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.
Penn State Brandywine held its annual Donors Scholars Celebration on Nov. 23 to honor student scholarship recipients and recognize the alumni and friends of Brandywine who have established scholarships for the campus.
