During fall semester students nominate academic advisers for the annual Penn State Excellence in Academic Advising Award. Sponsored by the University Advising Council and the Office for Undergraduate Education, the award honors one faculty and one staff adviser who students feel have especially helped them navigate the University’s academic system, planned a fulfilling program of study, considered co-curricular experiences and learned to manage their own educational journey at Penn State.

Jennifer Morgan, president of SAP North America, addressed the graduates and offered advice based on what she’s learned in her career. Chancellor Kristin Woolever presented Morgan with a Penn State Nittany Lion after her address.
The three Jane E. Cooper Honors Program scholars were recognized at Penn State Brandywine's Spring 2016 Commencement. Cooper Honors scholars included psychology major Laura Masse of Media, human development and family studies major Damien Melendez of Oxford and biology major Vyshnavi Nalluri of Devon.
Maura Beaver, left, a communication arts and sciences major, and Aaron Hoff, civil engineering major, discuss the finer points of commencement attire as they prepare to participant in Penn State York's commencement on May 6. Beaver completed five internships while a student at Penn State York and has been hired as a marketing coordinator for Wagman Construction in York, which she begins later this month. Hoff started his Penn State story at the York campus, completed his degree at University Park, and decided to take part in commencement at his home campus. Hoff has a job lined up at Wallace Montgomery in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Penn State Lehigh Valley held its annual commencement ceremony on May 7 at ArtsQuest Center at Steelstacks in Bethlehem. The campus awarded associate and bachelor's degrees to over 100 students. Bill Phillips, Men's Health editor-in-chief and 1991 alumnus, was the featured speaker at the new venue.
