Current Penn State Brandywine men’s and women’s basketball players Naifes Smalls, Isaiah Wilmore, Chelsea Dent, Jordan Wright and Kendra Stanford had the opportunity to meet two former basketball players. Barry Reddish played as a freshman on the campus’ first intercollegiate athletic team in 1968-69. Darryl Trent joined Reddish on the team the following year.
Founding members of the campus Black Student League included Darryl Trent, Natalie Burrell Wells, Barry Reddish and Zawdie Abdul-Malik (nee James Garner).
