Last week students, faculty and staff stopped by Brandywine's Student Union to receive a flower in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event was hosted by the Chancellor's Commission on Empowering Women and included a slide show that featured the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Last week Penn State Brandywine's Center for Ethics and Civic Engagement hosted its first Gratitude Day, giving students the chance to creatively express their gratitude to first responders by writing "thank you" cards. The campus will host three more Gratitude Days throughout March.
The 10 Principles of Fair Trade specify the ways that Fair Trade Enterprises are set up and behave to ensure they put people and planet first. The WFTO carries out verification and monitoring to ensure these principles are upheld.
