Penn State Brandywine biology major Nora Margulis rang the ceremonial gong on Nov. 29 to commemorate the presentation of her Schreyer Honors thesis. She was joined by Associate Professor of Communications Hans Schmidt, Brandywine's coordinator of honors programs.
Nora Margulis developed a love of research while studying biology at Penn State Brandywine. She recently presented her Schreyer Honors thesis and will graduate on Dec. 17.
As a Black marine scientist, Camille Gaynus wants to show people everywhere that Black people can be scientists. She also wants to show young children of color that they, too, can be a marine scientist.
