Penn State Brandywine celebrates Lunar New Year

Penn State Brandywine welcomed the Year of the Rabbit with a Lunar New Year celebration on Jan. 27. The event, which included traditional dishes, entertainment and games, was sponsored by Brandywine’s Multicultural Club and the Office of Multilingual & International Student Programs. Haoyu Wang was one of the student organizers of the event and led the evening’s activities.

Transfer student finds leadership opportunities at Penn State Brandywine

During Ava Wise’s first year at a private liberal arts college, neither the major she was considering nor the overall college experience felt like the right fit for her, she said. When a friend told her about the human development and family studies class he was taking at Penn State Brandywine, the topic piqued Wise's interest and she began looking at other colleges that offered that major. After considering her options, she decided the small campus size, family environment, short distance from home and strong HDFS program made Brandywine the right choice for her.
