The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State has awarded a Walker Graduate Assistantship to Hope Stylios, a graduate student majoring in cybersecurity analytics and operations in the College of Information Sciences and Technology.
The Brandywine LaunchBox held its annual Youth Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Startup Day on May 7. More than 60 seventh-grade students from four local middle schools (Haverford Middle School in Havertown, Lionville Middle School in Exton, Northley Middle School in Aston and Upper Merion Middle School in King of Prussia) attended the event to learn about physics, entrepreneurship, robotics and more.
In high school, Jaclyn Domsohn wasn’t sure what to study in college. She knew she enjoyed math and physics, but she hadn’t thought about engineering. That changed after she started taking classes at Penn State Brandywine, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 2021. She is now a mechanical engineer in the Mobility Division of CTDI, a global company in the communications, mobility and consumer devices service industries.

One-hundred thirty graduates received their bachelor’s degrees at Penn State Brandywine’s spring 2024 commencement ceremony on May 4 in the campus gymnasium. An additional four students were awarded associate degrees. Brandywine Chancellor Marilyn J. Wells commended the graduates for their persistence that led to the milestone occasion.
