As a Penn State student, you are entitled to some free software which includes Symantec Endpoint Protection. For a list of available software, go to the ITS downloads website.

Students enrolled in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) courses are eligible for free software from DreamSpark Premium. After classes start, you should receive an email with login information.

This service uses your full email address as your username and also uses a different password. If you haven't received an email about the MSDNAA program, or if you have forgotten your password, go to their sign-in/register page and supply your Penn State email address (abc123@psu.edu). An email with your login information should come your way shortly. Please note that you must be enrolled in a STEM course in order to download software. If you are not enrolled in a STEM course, you will not have access to the website.

You are also entitled to special deals for other software not included in the previous two links. Discounts can reach up to 80% off if you visit:

NOTE:  Although some parts of Microsoft Office (such as Visio, Project, InfoPath, Access, and OneNote) are available through DreamSpark Premium, the more popular parts of Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are only available through the Computer Store.
