Home Campus Directory | A-Z Index

When the Nittany Lion project was announced to local artists I was inspired by none other than campus itself! I wanted to paint a whimsical yet representative map that came to life, because I saw this fund raiser as a very positive initiative. It represents scholarship and education, two ideals I hold with high importance. These aspects of the college enhance the community and build a strong relationship with it. I'm happy to have a hand in it.

State Rep. Bryan Lentz, D-Delaware, is holding a Heroes Gift Drive at Penn State Brandywine to collect toiletries, snacks, and other personal items through December 23 for troops serving overseas this Christmas.

“We’re collecting everything from candy bars and beef jerky, to shampoo and yo-yos,” Lentz said. “I want the men and women who won’t be celebrating the holidays with their families to know people back home appreciate their service and support them 100 percent.”

A list of needed items can be found on Lentz’s Web site at www.pahouse.com/Lentz or by calling his constituent service office at 610-544-7301.

In addition to the donation center in room 212 of the Main Building at Penn State Brandywine, items can be dropped off at Lentz’s office located at 630 Fairview Road in Swarthmore, or at other donations centers at Ridley High School, United People of Color club at Strath Haven, and Medina Kenpo Karate in Springfield.
