Grill and Chill

Grill 'n' Chill

New Penn State students and their families are invited to campus for the annual Grill 'n' Chill. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with LIVE music, a BBQ cookout, and the opportunity to meet current Penn State students and other incoming first-year students. Stick around for the outdoor movie later that evening on the campus lawn!

4:00 p.m, Vairo Library

This orientation, designed for only transfer and adult students, allows new Penn State students to be introduced to the campus. This program will give you the chance to get your Penn State Photo ID card and your Penn State email access account.* Parking pass registration, information about joining clubs & organizations, and financial aid information will also be available during this program. Campus tours will be available for students who have not had an opportunity to get to know the campus up close. Please call to confirm your attendance by calling Sally Ent at 610-892-1390.
*In order to be issues a PSU ID you MUST bring a government issued photo ID.

Convocation and Road to Success
Thursday, August 21, 2014 • 9:30 a.m.

Convocation Day is the official start to the academic year and is a required event for new students. The day includes a faculty processional and convocation ceremony, cookout lunch, "Meet the Class" and the chance to meet your program coordinators, fellow first-year students, your pride orientation leader, current students, faculty, and staff and Road to Success!!!.  Road to Success is designed to help you navigate your way around campus, learn about valuable resources, and give you the chance to sign-up for the many student organizations, clubs, and athletic teams available on campus.


Class Trip to Six Flags
Friday, August 22, 2014 • 9:30 a.m.

Get to know the Class of 2018 by spending a day at Six Flags Great Adventure. Ticket information will be available in the mail and during each Orientation Day.
