Barbara Rostick received her B.S. in Health and Physical Education from West Chester State College and her M.S. in Physical Education from West Chester University. Barbara is a certified/licensed member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, a certified first aid and CPR instructor for both the American Red Cross and the National Safety Council. She is also certified as a Nutrition Specialist through Lifestyle Management, Inc., a continuing education provider, specializing in nutrition education.
Since coming to Penn State Brandywine in 1989, Barbara has worked as the athletic trainer for the campus teams, supervised the fitness room/gym area of the Commons building, served as organizer and administrator of intramurals, taught numerous kinesiology courses and served as an adviser for students in the College of Health and Human Development. In addition, she also teaches First Aid/CPR courses at Penn State for students, faculty and staff several times each year.
Most of the courses that Barbara has taught involve health and fitness. She not only teaches these classes, but also has assisted students, faculty and staff to improve their own fitness levels by helping them set up exercise programs for themselves and discussing diet and weight management strategies.
