Calling all regional high school journalists and their advisers! Penn State Brandywine is proud to sponsor our inaugural newspaper contest!
Student work will be accepted in the following three categories:
- News
- Feature Writing
- Sports Journalism
Judges will select three finalists based on the following criteria:
- Value, importance or worth of story
- Quality of reporting and quotes
- Quality of writing and editing
All participants will receive a participation certificate and top three winners in each category will receive a Nook Color Tablet.®
Print Requirements:
- Submissions should be no longer than 600 words
- Work must be submitted by the school newspaper’s faculty adviser
- Submission should be an original print, copy of original, or scanned pdf of original published article
- Identified submission category (News, Feature, or Sports)
- Complete contact information including school name, home address, phone number, and email
